Footwear Sales Manager

Job Description

This is an opportunity to develop the Henleys footwear range with existing customers and new customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • As a member of the sales team, the specialist is responsible for the achievement of sales targets - units, volume and profit, and brand image and positioning in key identified specialist retailers.
  • The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall development of the team within the given channel, and is required to develop and implement the sales strategies in line with the company goals, which deliver the required results.
  • To effectively contribute to the development of sales strategies and plans, which meet current and future business needs, and in line with agreed financial targets and profit.
  • Implement sales plans and objectives, which deliver agreed targeted levels of business volume and profit by account and key product positioning by account.
  • Develop and propose account strategies in order to optimize net sales potential.
  • Focus on self development, ownership of delegated tasks
  • To demonstrate commitment to Henleys values and vision

Customer

  • Identify ongoing customer needs and expectations and report/action through the business
  • Full appreciation and complete implementation of the business process required to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Delivering against common performance measure
  • Establishing mutually profitable business partnerships

Commercial

  • Achieve company, team, individual and commercial objectives
  • Account budget. Yearly, phased, forward and daily
  • Company KPI measurements
  • Trade terms - management and execution
  • Completing DSO for all assigned accounts
  • Drive market share, by customer and category in line with company target
  • Design, plan, agree and implement by account:

Profitability

  • Manage personal costs, T&E etc
  • Improve ongoing the service and cost on supply chain efficiencies
  • Manage costs of daily business by account

Requirements/ Expected Attributes

The Footwear Sales Manager must be able to prove a high level of success, consistently achieve all required targets and set goals, ideally through previous experience of footwear sales. You should also have a keen desire to work in a fast paced environment and enjoy working under pressure. You will have a passion for specialist product and synergy with independent retailers and sectors. You will have basic knowledge of Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Experience of Excel is preferred. You will also posses skills in the following areas:

  • Self Development
